Tours of Old Town

tour

Recently, I got to discover, or re-discover Old Town simply by taking a walking tour. Having lived in Albuquerque for more than 30 years, I knew I didn't know everything about it's history, but I was surprised at how much I did learn! I took a history tour through Tours of Old Town and had a fantastic guide in Pat Ward. Pat's deep knowledge of Old Town's legends and lore helped me see the area in a different light. I knew Old Town had its saloons, but had no idea it was an area known for its brawls and fights as well as criminal activity. And I learned the area's houses were converted into galleries and shops as a direct result of Route 66 (Central Avenue) in the 1930s.

Tours of Old Town offers history tours, ghost tours, moonlight tours, scavenger hunts, ghost hunting tours and specialty tours. I'd highly recommend them, whether you're visiting, or a local.
