Whether it's Easter brunch or finding a place to visit with the Easter Bunny, there's a special Easter event to put in your basket. Here are some egg hunts and Easter Bunny visits that happen on Saturday, April 7:
Eggs N' Beggin Dog Parade and Costume Contest
Pooches and their owners will hit the park dressed in Easter themed gear.
Where: Cabezon Park, Rio Rancho
When: 10 a.m., Saturday, April 7
Cost: Free parade; costume contest $5 per dog entry.
Visit the Easter Bunny
Where: ABQ's Playroom, 8850 Holly NE
When: April 6 and 7 from 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
What: Create an Easter craft and get your picture taken with the Easter Bunny.
Shriners Easter Egg Hunt
Kids can hunt for eggs and prizes, enjoy face painting, balloon art, an egg toss, an egg race, hot dogs and chips and a visit from the Easter Bunny. The event is free.
Where: Shrine Center, 6600 Zuni SE
When: 11 a.m. - 2 p.m., Saturday, April 7

Albuquerque Fine Wine and Art Festival
More than 70 wineries, over 25 draft beers and plenty of select spirits will be on hand, as well as food and art. Music by the John Maestas Trio. It's happening at the Hyatt, which is offering free parking for this event. A silent auction will help Wemagination, a UNM Family Development program. Friday, April 6 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Buskers in Old Town
April 6 and 7, Old Town celebrates the busker tradition. Hear street musicians, see performances on the Gazebo stage, and enjoy browsing the chalk art that artists will create throughout Old Town. Roaming buskers will be part of the fun, too, with a stilt walker and a balloon artist joining in the fun. The event is free and is part of the New Mexico Centennial Festival series. Happy Birthday, New Mexico! What a great party you're putting on--and it's free.
Xanadu
Go back to California in the 80s with roller skating Kira. The Broadway musical was based on the film starring Olivia-Newton John. Begins April 6 and runs weekends through April 29 at the Albuquerque Little Theatre.
Manhattan Transfer
Blending jazz and pop with other musical styles, the group that has excited listeners since 1975 will perform at Popejoy. See them on Saturday, April 7.
Sierra Maestra
Enjoy Cuban music and dance on the dance floor at the National Hispanic Cultural Center's Journal Theatre. Come early and get a free dance lesson with Sarita Streng on Saturday, April 7.
Easter Enrichments Day
The zoo will be open, and some of the animals will be getting special toys and treats. It's happening Easter Sunday at the zoo, from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Cause of the Week
Laughs for Matthew
The improv event features the live comedy of 3 For All. There will be a silent auction included. The evening is a fundraiser for 4 year old Matthew Pedrotty, who has stage four cancer. Saturday, April 7 at the KiMo.
