Honoring Our History World War I Traveling Exhibit
The traveling exhibit will stop in Albuquerque for one day only while on its 75 city national tour. Experience the sights and sounds of World War I, from trench warfare to the uniforms and equipment. The 18-wheeler was designed to raise funds and awareness for cultural institutions across the U.S., and donations raised will be divided between the Balloon Museum and the National World War I Museum in Kansas City.
When: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Friday, January 13 and 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Saturday, January 14
Where: Balloon Museum, 9201 Balloon Museum Drive NE
Cost: Free; donations welcome.

Albuquerque Comic Con
See anime screenings, comic book artists, and celebrate 70 years of Wonder Woman at the annual event that keeps getting bigger. Purchase tickets online ahead to save.
When: 10 a.m. - midnight January 13 - 14, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Sunday, January 15

Cost: $5 - $100, from child daily pass to VIP package. Adult tickets $5 more at the door.

The House at Pooh Corner

Winter Bird and Bat Festival
Join the staff and volunteers of the Nature Center to learn about the bats of New Mexico, some of the special projects happening at the center, and more. There will be speakers, guided bird walks, nature walks, rescue birds from Wildlife Rescue, and crafts for kids.
When: 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. Saturday, January 14

Cost: $3 parking fee for non-members.

A Moon for the Misbegotten
The Adobe Theater begins a run of Eugene O'Neill plays with a story of blighted love. Moon is considered one the classic plays of American theater.
When: 2 p.m. Sundays, 8 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays; January 13 - February 5

Cost: $15 general, $13 seniors or students, group rates available; purchase multiple O'Neill play tickets and receive a discount.

Cab Calloway Orchestra with Alice Tan Ridley
Under the baton of Calloway's grandson, Calloway Brooks, the orchestra plays original pieces, and some of the musicians have played with the band for decades. Ridley is known for her appearances on America's Got Talent.

Cause of the Week

Peacepal Youth Service Summit
Youth from the greater Albuquerque area will meet to hear a panel of inspirational speakers, after which they will move into breakout sessions to develop service projects. Projects will take place over the spring. Open to youth ages 11 - 19.
When: January 14, 9:30 a.m. - 3 p.m.; registration closes at 10 a.m.

Cost: Free, with breakfast and lunch included.
