Mariachi Spectacular
Experience the sights, sounds and lively music at the many events at this annual celebration of music and dance. The event includes workshops, public events and a special Sunday Mass. The showcase in the downtown Civic Plaza is a free public show. The Spectacular continues all weekend long.
Lavender in the Village Festival
The Los Ranchos Lavender in the Village Festival features three days of music, art, shopping, and the chance to pick your own lavender. Learn how to cultivate lavender, how to distill it once it's grown, and visit Los Ranchos institutions such as Casa Rondena Winery and the shops along Fouth Street. It starts with a barn dance Friday night and continues July 14 and 15.
Santa Fe International Folk Art Market
More than 150 artists from around the world come to exhibit at this market. Shop till you drop.
The market opening party takes place July 13. On Saturday, explore music in the Folk Art Museum auditorium, free of charge. Runs July 13 - 15.
Dragonfly Festival
Learn about the diverse dragonflies found in New Mexico, and watch them in one of the pond viewing areas. You'll learn about the life of a dragonfly, from what it eats, to its life cycle. There will be craft stations and dragonfly experts to answer your questions. Free with regular admission at the Botanic Gardens on Saturday, July 14.
New Mexico Jazz Festival
The NM Jazz Festival returns to Old Town with favorites such as Soul Kitchen with Hillary Smith, Chris Dracup, and internationally-known Leni Stern and the Masters of African Percussion. Hear Hilary Smith and Chris Dracup at 5 p.m. and Leni Stern at 6 p.m. The free event happens in Old Town on Saturday, July 14. Find out about other New Mexico Jazz Festival events, which run through July 29.
