Burque Bop
Dance and enjoy music with the entire family every third Friday of the month. This month's artist is MUDHUT, which combines African rhythms, jazzy guitar and a beat that will make your feet do the happy dance. At 6 p.m. Friday, April 20 at the Harwood Art Center. Bring the kids, and eat out at the food trucks parked just outside.
Isotopes Home Game
The Isotopes play the Iowa Cubs tonight at 7:05 p.m. Go 'Topes!
Fetchapalooza
The annual mega adopt-a-thon will take place at the Journal Center in Albuquerque. Shelters from all over New Mexico participate. Last year more than 500 animals were adopted, to include our family's rat terrier, Sally O'Malley. Microchipping for $9 per animal, and the Isotopes mascot Orbit will be greeting visitors. April 21 and 22.
Albuquerque Home and Garden Show
The trade show features resources and information on what's needed to improve your home and make your garden shine. There will be workshops, ideas for do it yourself projects, gifts, freebies and even food. At the New Mexico Expo April 21 and 22. Be sure to get the online $2 off coupon.
Santa Fe Modern Home Tour
Santa Fe is having its first ever modern home tour, with eleven architecturally progressive and contemporary homes open for viewing. This is a self guided tour. From 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. Saturday, April 21.
Poetry Readings
If you enjoy poetry, head over to the Harwood Art Center for the release of their latest poetry anthology, How To. Thirty poets will read their work, weather permitting. Saturday, April 21 at 3 p.m. Or hear local poets at the Airdance Artspace at 7 p.m., to include Albuquerque's first poet laureate, Hakim Bellamy.
Neighborhood Concert
The New Mexico Philharmonic will perform their season finale at Popejoy Hall, with Uriel Segal conducting. Hear Borodin's overture to "Prince Igor," Shostakovich and Mussorgsky. Saturday, April 21.
