Centennial Summerfest Sizzles Saturday

The Centennial Summerfest happens this coming Saturday, June 16, in downtown Albuquerque. The free event will feature six stages plus the Main Stage in Civic Plaza, where country singer Will Bannister will perform at 5:30 p.m., followed by Robert Mirabal from 6:30 - 7:45 p.m. Then multiple Grammy winning band Los Lobos will take the stage at 8 p.m. and play until closing at 9:30 p.m.

Civic Plaza will have front of stage seating for several thousand. There will be food and beverages for purchase, picinic tables and portable restrooms. Feel free to bring lawn chairs and picnics. No glass containers or alcoholic beverages will be allowed.

Civic Plaza and the Convention Center will offer parking. For those who use public transit, a shuttle at 4th and Marquette will transport folks to the two Park and Ride locations: Silver Moon on Central between 9th and 10th and on Silver between 4th and 5th.
