The New Mexico Philharmonic will hold a 13 hour Philharmonithon fundraiser in partnership with Classical KHFM, 95.5. "Sharin' o' the Green," will be held at the lobby of the historic KiMo Theatre from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. There will be live entertainment throughout the day, along with a silent auction and competitions.
KHFM will broadcast live with the station's regular programming until 7 p.m. Phone lines will be open until 8 p.m. for callers who wish to donate. Entertainment includes on-air interviews with local musicians, business leaders and dignitaries, as well as performances by the musicians from the New Mexico Philharmonic, Celtic step dancers and Celtic musicians.
Competitions include the best rendition of "O Danny Boy," as well as a best costume representing a St. Patrick's Day theme. The silent auction will be conducted at the KiMo and online.
